merry belated holidays!

hey guys so it's been a super long time hasn't it? sorry about that. i sorta maybe got a tumblr account that's been super easy to post to so i may have neglected here a bit. as well as the fact that work(s) had me bogged down thanks to the holiday/retail season. 60 hour work weeks are not fun kids. i'm actually surprised i didn't spiral down into a crippling depression during these past two months... hrmmm....

anyway you're here for the art, not my pseudo-LJ post. well here you go...

I got a new haircut, shorter and edgier, so I needed to draw myself again and again and again and....

 And that's it so far! After the retail hell season is over I'm going to work hard on updating SometimesAdventures again. I have a small unscanned backlog that needs to get going so yeah. anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR! hopefully next year will be a big more prosperous with art.

NYCC

Finally! A post about NYCC! I don't really know what to say because the whole con was a blur! It was amazing and I really wish I'd wandered around the comic and anime art alleys more!

Friday was short since I had to work and I was only really able to see the Venture Bros panel that day.

   




Saturday was hectic. I'm mad at myself for only really wandering the main exhibition floor. I'll have to do another update with pics of what I bought because everyone was extremely nice even if I was somewhat of an awkward nerd at times.

 




One of the worst things about the Jacob Javtiz convention center is their lack of 3G and the fact that you had to pay for Wi-Fi so most of the time it was a blackhole of signal which didn't help with Sunday and trying to reach Pat for the Walking Dead Panel. BUT I'm super excited for the Walking Dead show on AMC. it's going to be FUCKING FANTASTIC.








I still have lots to read and definitely more to post but i sort of just wanted to update the blog with some sketches of NYCC that I did.

Next post should be with pictures of what I bought and the post after that will be of zombies that i've been drawing for the past couple of weeks.

Also! MangaNext is in New Jersey Halloween weekend and I'll be there with my table-husband Stevie and Pat the hat wearing guy. Not too much new will be there though I'll prolly be doing some nice cheap zombie-portrait commissions just to get into the Halloween spirit.

The Sometimes Adventures #12 BAKES!

hey blog! are you missing the Sometimes Adventures comics? well you shouldn't look here you should be at the actual comic page! having said that i made a special edition of Sometimes Adventures where i explain how to bake a simple and moist pumpkin cupcakes/cakes.

if you bake them please send pics! i'll def love to post it up here on the blog.

anyway, got the recipe from AllRecipes.com. i LOVE that website cuz you can just have a vague idea of food and put it into the search and suddenly you're salivating over things that you can make!

With energy of quickness.

I did this in 20 minutes.

I'm in a highly caffeinated state and I'm up way too long. I have a full day of work but I've been brimming with energy. I've pencilled about three pages of the new Chapter2 of SometimesAdventures at work. I finished the last page of chapter1 today and it'll be up for wednesday and I read a few chapters of Breathers and I cooked dinner and I played Bioshock2: Minerva's Den DLC, and I'm not tired. I mean I am but i don't want it to end and....

sorry this isn't my Livejournal so you don't need to hear this. anyway, leftover energy had me create that guy with the lily. Enjoy him.

I have a blog! I feel like i should be updating this thing more often. anyway, these are all just sketches, nothing finished just yet, but i know when i see other artists i love seeing sketches and their processes. anyway, here are arts so you know that i'm not totally slacking despite life issues.

i'm thinking about putting this up on an actual webcomic site. a comic/wordpress type place or smackjeeves but that seems very committed. i have commitment issues!

anyway, after otakon hopefully i'll have some time and i'll be able to figure out what to do next with the comic since SOON chapter one will be over.

So! this is NOT an update of the Sometimes Adventures! Obviously you can tell since there's no comic.

Anyway, Otakon is at the end of the month and as usual it's time to scramble to get art done in time for the convention. So on your right you see some One Piece buttons i did since i became a bit obsessed with the series.

So enjoy looking at the two Brook pins, the laboon pin, and the Chopper pin. They'll be available at the end of July at Otakon!

Other art is coming around slow but I am trying to get some nice BIG prints ready for Otakon so wish me luck!
